Overseas Development Administration Shared Scholarships
Scheme
(ODASSS)
175 Scholarships are offered worldwide at Undergraduate,
Taught Postgraduate level for a maximum of four
years for Undergraduate Studies and Two years of
Postgraduate Studies. These scholarships are jointly
funded by the Overseas Development Administration
(ODA) and the participating universities in the
United Kingdom. The scheme is administered by the
Association of Common Wealth Universities in the
United Kingdom. Subject: There is no restriction
with regard to subject, unless the institution has
placed restrictions upon the award. These have been
indicated in appendix A.
Eligibility:
Age Limit: 35 years. Candidates should have
a uniformly good academic record with at least a
first class Bachelor's Degree and be fluent in English.
They should not be living or studying in a developed
country, nor be employed by a government department
or parastatal organisations. However, this condition
does not apply to those in university employment.
Value: Airfares, tuition fees, maintenance costs
(inclusive of clothing and books allowances).

) UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE : Rajiv Gandhi Cambridge
Bursaries
4
bursaries are offered for India at Undergraduate
level (as affiliated student) for a maximum of
two years.
Eligibility: Age Limit: 26 years. Candidates
of outstanding academic merit who have gained
admission to a Cambridge College, but cannot,
without financial assistance, take up their places.
Subject: There is no restriction with regard to
subject, but it should be relevant to India's
need. Value: Applicants are meanstested, and the
value of the bursaries, which is a substantial
contribution towards the student's costs, is determined
accordingly.
Whom
to contact: Applicants for a second Bachelor's
Degrees as an affiliated student must apply directly
to a Cambridge College of their choice and submit
completed application forms for admission to the
College by 15 October for entry the following
year. Further information and application forms

UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE, LUCY CAVENDISH COLLEGE,
Ruth Tomlinson Memorial Award

award for a disabled student is offered worldwide
at Undergraduate, Graduate Level. Subject: There
is no restriction with regard to subject.
Eligibility:
This award is offered to disabled woman student,
who will be required to become a member of the
College.
Value:

UNIVERSITY OF EAST ANGLIA
(a)
Graduate Studentships These scholarships are offered
worldwide at M.A./M.Sc. by research M.Phil., Ph.D.
tenable for three years. Subject: There is no
restriction with regard to subject.
Eligibility: Candidates should either have
or expect to gain a good honours degree. He or
she must first be accepted by one of the Schools
of the study of the University.

(b) International Undergraduate Scholarships These
scholarships are offered to Non-EU countries at
undergraduate level tenable for three years.
Subject: There is no restriction with regard
to subject.
Eligibility: Applicants are automatically
considered by the Schools of Studies to which
the apply. Nominations are made during April each
year and these are based on information contained
in a candidates' UCAS form. Those with strong
academic are preferred and evidence of financial
need is also considered.
Value: Annual fee rebates.

UNIVERSITY OF GLASGOW: Undergraduate Scholarships
These
scholarships are offered at Undergraduate level
for one year.
Subject: Any subject offered at the University,
except Accountancy, Dentistry, Medicine and Veterinary
Medicine.
Eligibility: These scholarships are available
to students who pay their own fees and who perform
well in the first, second and third years of the
Honours Course.
Value: Tuition fees to cover fourth year
of Study.

GRANTHAM COLLEGE
Overseas
Student Scholarships 2 scholarships are offered
worldwide (except the UK) at Undergraduate level.
Subject: There is no restriction with regard
to subject.
Eligibility: Those who are of 16 years and
over who have not previously attended Grantham College,
who are academic able, with a lively mind and the
ability to apply knowledge.
Value £1,000 against college fees.

UNIVERSITY OF HULL
Full Tuition Fees Scholarships for Overseas Students
5 scholarships are offered for countries outside
the EU at Undergraduate level for one year in the
first instance, renewable subject to satisfactory
progress.
Subject: There is no restriction with regard
to subject.
Eligibility: Candidates with outstanding
results in GCE 'A' level (or equivalent) examinations.
Educational achievements of the candidates to date,
and confidential references, will be taken into
account. Applicants must be liable to pay tuition
fees at the 'full-cost' rate for overseas students.
Only candidates who have firmly accepted an offer
of a place, can be considered for the scholarships.
Application forms are issued automatically to candidates
who make Hull their first choice; others will not
be considered.
Value: All tuition fees.

Scholarships
15 scholarships are offered worldwide at Undergraduate,
PG by research, Ph.D. for a maximum of three years.
Subject:
There is no restriction with regard to subject.
Eligibility:
All Overseas candidates who firmly accept an
offer of a place on a course at the University and
are liable to pay the tuition fees at the full cost
rate for overseas students are eligible. Students
holding another award which covers the payment of
tuition fees are not eligible.
Value
£1,000 - £1,500 per annum.

UNIVERSITY OF LIVERPOOL FACULTY OF LAW:
Dean's Scholarships

scholarships are offered to countries outside the
UK at Undergraduate level for a maximum of three
years, subject to satisfactory progress.
Subject:
Law.
Eligibility: Overseas candidates who firmly
accept an offer of a place to study Law at the University
of Liverpool and who are liable to pay tuition fees
at the 'Full Cost' rate are eligible. The awards
will be made on academic merit along. The only information
required by the Faculty of Law will be contained
on the UCAS form which applicants will fill in.
Value: £500 per annum. Whom to contact: All
students who are made and firmly accept an offer
of admission to study Law will automatically be
registered as applicants for the scholarships. Further

AND POLITICAL SCIENCE: Scholarships and Bursaries
These scholarships are offered worldwide at Undergraduate,
Taught Postgraduate, Research (Mphil, PhD) level.
Subject:
There is no restriction with regard to subject,
though some scholarships are restricted to specific
departments and subjects.
Eligibility: Candidates should have secured
an offer of admission from the School. Some awards
are offered on the basis of academic merit, while
others are offered on the basis of financial need.
Value:
£1,000 - £17,000. All awards are automatically off-set
against tuition fees payable to the School in the
first instance.
